Hi All
Im not sure if this is normal behaviour, but over the last 4 days Tiki has gone very quiet, he is sitting on the bottom of his cage most of the time over his little container of food, he is eating and drinking fine I've been keeping an eye on that, but he is not talking as much as he normally does and when he is sitting on his perch he will have his back to us. When hes out of his cage he will full on attack me, This he has never done, and just generally being very anti social, its like he is depressed, i do let him out of the cage everyday, and when he is out after about half an hour he will go back to his cage and just sit there and this in its self is very odd, as most of the time I have to coax him back in there with food, he is not wanting me to change the water in his cage and charges at me when i do, of course i have no choice as its so gross by the end of the day.
I have been giving him fresh vegies everyday and making sure they are washed properly so no chemicals are left on then, his droppings are fine.
He seems very healthy in general so im wondering if he is wanting a mate, as it is spring now so could this be a hormonal change? if it is I'm hoping it will pass, but in all and all he is not being a very plesent birdy at the moment to be around, but i am concerned as well.
Hope you have all had a good weekend.
Gina.
