This happened a while ago, but I still laugh when I tell people about it. I have a very friendly Kakariki that loves to land on my shoulder when she is out. We spend a lot of time together, she even "helps" me wash the dishes. My sister sounds and looks a lot like me. One day when she was over and my bird was patrolling the house, the bird landed on my sister. She said, "What do I do!" So I told her to move slowly and tell me if she wanted me to rescue her. The bird chirped happily, and then she turned her head really slowly to get a better look at my sister, realized it wasn't me, did a wierd quiet chirp of surprise and leaned away from my sister as far as she could go without falling off. I was dying laughing and my sister said, "What? What is she doing?" So I retrieved her. Now she is a little more cautious.
