Hiya.....It seems as though I was about to pay way too much for my new bird. I don't mind paying a fair price (no matter what that may be) but it seems I was about to pay a good £50 more than the market rate...which to me is ripping me off, and shows me that they are just in it for the money!

So, does anyone have any male (preferably) birds for sale near Hertfordshire England???

Hi,
If you've got transport then a trip to Crews Hill is a good bet. I got my first one there they seem to got up to about £45. No extra for Male or Female. They tend to look a bit tatty at first but they clean up well and I could'nt live without my girl now. I have lost two male and a baby and & eggs this year but she was first and I still got her :).
I think its called Enfield Bird Centre and is located in the first garden centre by the bridge/station.
Hope this helps you.

John
