My kakariki is 2 and I had him last year. One recently died an the one left is not tame!
I can feed him through the bars but if I put my hand in he flies to the back. Any tips on taming please? Also if he now on his own would it be dangerous to introduce a new kak to his large cage. He does flies out multiple times daily. Thanks
kakariki tame down very easy.. but u have to accept that unlike other bird species, by nature kakariki are a very active and have independent attitude by nature.
The up side of this is they are definitely not prone to feather plucking due to psychological issues other tamed species tend to have... e spec if left on their own
make use of the "quick Search" block on the left... put in "taming" get a cup of coffee, a comfortable arm rest and chair and a slice of apple or few capsicum seeds... and start reading.. very quickly u will understand the list of 'tools' _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
