Hello all,

I'd appreciate any advice you folks may have.

Took my wee boy, Dante, to the vet on Saturday as he appeared to have a problem with his right foot. It's happened before and we wanted to get it checked out. His perches have been removed from his cage and the vet has given us anti-biotics to add to his water. Dante has been doing fine until today.

This evening I came home from work to find him lying on his back in his cage, with his head stuck under a ladder toy he likes to chew. He was obviously distressed. Not knowing what else to do, I picked him up and popped him back on his feet. I've been watching him in his cage and he's moving about. However he doesn't look as alert and his eyes keep closing over, as if he's trying to go to sleep.

Is there anything else I can do at the moment to help him? I've popped some apple in his cage as a treat which he's given a few nibbles.

Best wishes,
Laura
