In our hemisphere from around 21 June till the end of Septembre.

Here in NZ it comes and goes within a month to 6 weeks....very often if it wasnt for feathers on the flight floor it would be hard to tell when or how long they moult for

I think inddo it's a constant flow. some feather fell out - some grow.
What conditions live the birds in?

Yes, indoors it looks different compared to outside kept birds. And like Steptoe says you can only tell it by the feathers on the ground.
