I need to ask a really stupid question. My female, Koru, has been quiet for 6-7 months. When I say quiet I mean that she has not uttered a sound other than the mating invitation. Now finally she has started to vocalise more. Is that normal, or is Koru just eccentric?
I know that females are not as vocal as males but I didn't know that they were totally silent. I've in fact often joked about fitting her with a GPS tracking device because she is completely silent and utterly determined to find a nest site anywhere in the flat. She has a knack for disappearing completely in less than five minutes. So far I have dismantled the sofa and printer several times in order to get her out of her favourite nest sites.
She is single-mindedly set on nesting but as her mate is inbred (his parents are siblings) and a hybrid I don't want her to breed with him. If anyone has some good advice on how to get her out of the nesting mood I would be very grateful.
If the owner has a bond and/or another acceptable male is around the hormones flow and thats it.. there is no soln. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
