Hiya everyone, so im new to the site.
So we got our new kaka on Wednesday night and named him Charlie.
I'm wondering how to stop him from biting us? He is 8 month old. We first got him out Thursday morning with a challenge as he tried biting us when we tried to open his cage, he does not like us going near his cage nor putting our hands in to change his water bowl and food bowl. When we eventually got him out he did come onto my fella finger and jumped up to is shoulder then bit his ear, he has also bit his hand and drew blood, he has bit me once on the back of the neck which hurt signlol. But last night i put my finger near his cage and didn't move my fingers and it was like he was just tasting me like little nibbles, but then may try to bite.
Also will he talk the woman i got him off said that she was selling him because she didn't have time to spend with him, if we say Charlie its like he tries to say it but makes his own sound, or pretty boy he makes the noise but breaks up the word.
Cool
Dont discourage his defensiveness in and around his cage... it maybe a pain, but in the long run makes life easier...
a
Will tend to go back to the cage to poo in the favorite cnr...makes easier to get back or just go back at dusk to roost. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
