My bird has started to land on me regularly and tries to "taste" my bare skin. He hasn't drawn blood but gives quite a nip which causes me to shout ouch. I don't withdraw but the shout usually puts him off. Any other hints on how to prevent this nipping would be . Thanks
Stop this early.. u are 'alphar male' of the flock, u make the rules.
In flocks there is a sharp definate growl, telling off, do the same... a deep slow, controled no "No" in his face, and mean it.
failing that quick retailation , knock on the beak....
Make it short, quick and move on.
tasting is the intial, after that it is a game, and establishing rank.
Birds, cats , dogs and children, even staff do it...let it go and u loose control. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
