This is everything u want to know
http://www.kakariki.net/ftopict-12.html

We have no left over scraps from our dinner prep, so much so we have to grow extra in the veggie garden....And have nothing left over from our cooked scraps...except more desert type stuff because of the high refined sugar content.
Our compost bins do not get any household scraps.....unless it has gone thru a birds digestive system 1st.

Yeah...
None of our birds have been 'damaged' by them in 10 yrs and we are talking well 0ver 1500.
Our cat died a few yrs back and ran out of biskets... havnt used since, and no noticable difference in fertilties health condition....but on the other hand our birds are feed fresh veggies 2x a day , fruit most days, and consistant protein/ chopped cooked left over chicken carcasses, chops , steak, stew, roast lamb, pork hogget bones etc.
