hello friends
i have few questions about kakarikies, hopefully experts will help to answer
1. temp is 42-46 here so i spray some water on my birds,is it ok?
2. i mix some in water alternate day?
3. my two kakarikies feather are not fine, what should i do with it?
4. my different mutations of kakarikies are coming, can i pair different mutations?
5. i offer them apples and watermelon with seed mix bcoz they love watermelon and apple,is it ok?
a discussion going on a forum that 1 tea spoon salt should be mix in 2.5 ltr water for birds,is it not tooo much(in case you not offer electrolytes)

6. will my kakarikies be ok with my different mutations of lorikeet?
best regards

1. temp is 42-46 here so i spray some water on my birds,is it ok?

Yes, the main issue is air flow, lack of and heat in nesting boxes at those temps.....keeping avariy walls and floors wet helps...as the water evaporates it cools...sort of like if put meths on your skin, it feels cold as it evaporates.

2. i mix some in water alternate day?

Sry dont understand the question

3. my two kakarikies feather are not fine, what should i do with it?

Need better description maybe pics?.. to upload pics see the how to section in the forums

4. my different mutations of kakarikies are coming, can i pair different mutations?

Yes ..but do not confuse a mutation with a hybrid...hybrids are a big no no.
A mutation is a gentic mutation within a specires, a hybrid is crossing species ie a red crown and a yellow crown kakariki

5. i offer them apples and watermelon with seed mix bcoz they love watermelon and apple,is it ok?

Aplle excelent ands the occassional seed is fine..they need the trace od arsinic in apple /pears... but do not feed ahand full of these seeds
Check out the sticky thread "what do you feed...."
This may also relate to your birds feather condition above.

a discussion going on a forum that 1 tea spoon salt should be mix in 2.5 ltr water for birds,is it not tooo much(in case you not offer electrolytes)

Yes salt can help in hot temps over longer periods ...in VERY small doses.
like apple seed overdose can be dangerous....Mineral blocks are a far bettter option...cuttle fish, and a good varied consistant diet asin the "what do you feed..." thread.

6. will my kakarikies be ok with my different mutations of lorikeet?
best regards

Yes kakariki mix well with other species...caution thu with mixing or adding birds to flights/avaries espec if breeding, and the otherspecies also mix ok.

Cheers
Steps

Grab a basic pic editor...like infranveiw
Crop out the background not needed
Resise longest side to about 550 pixels.
use "save as" a opition box appears if saving as .jpg choose about 20%
Change file name so not to over right the orginal pic.
upload.
