How much woodshavings?
We have nesting material a good 1 to 2" deep
Do not disturb or change anything till the hen has been sitting on all the eggs for a few days....If the 1st time breeding , just leave them.

Some say so others sat each day....personally I no longer take any notice because ever hen is different and/or weather diet enviorment etc makes a difference.
When she has laid or nearly laid all the eggs she will then start to incubate.
