I have 4 pairs of Kak's side by side. I wanted to get a Lutino cock i had purchased to breed so, i placed him inbetween 2 breeding pairs. My luck has been good as i have 4young in their nest box. Now the problem is 2 of the 4 pairs are breeding and, the hens are sitting the boxes but, no eggs!!!. I assume that putting them side by side stimulated my Lutino but, pehaps bloked the oter 2 surrounding pairs? wall

hit the fan One nesting box was in line of sight. It had no eggs and, i know the hen is fertile. as i am breeding her son and daughter. The second pair offspring of that hen have a nesting box out of line of sight.
Now i made a mistake! the brother/sister pair do have eggs 4 or 5. When i went to relocate them i found she had put then under the shaving's so, they were not able to be seen. I replaced the box and let them be. Hopefully i have not done any harm to her efforts.
Now the pair with the hen who has reared young has, been relocated to a 3.8 meter aviary with 2 pair of budgies.
I am trying to colony breed budgies and have only 2 pair in this aviary to experiment. Will the Kak,s be offput by this? Since this hen has breed before do you think this set back will be as severe as the other cases you mentioned? duno
