I was in a petshop the other day and i spitted a tiny bird on its own looking lonely, i went over to look at it, and immediatly fell in love. The staff member told me that she is a celestial parolet and that she originally came with another bird but they had sold them seperatley. I went home and read as much info about the breed on the internet, then decided i would buy her.
She is now called Mika, i have had her for 2 days now and i absolutely love her. she chirps along with my kaks and is so funny to watch.
I was wondering if i might be able to introduce a partner to her as i would eventually love another one or would she be happier on her own?

Elisa,

I kept parrotlets for a very short time, so I don't really know much about them.
In the USA they are very popular, both for breeding and as pets, and apparently they are easy to breed.
I think over there in the UK it should be reasonably easy to find a partner for your parrotlet, and they are easy to tell male from female.

Cheers / Pablo
