Hi

I know they aren't kakariki, but hopefully people will have some experience with the Major Mitchell Cockatoo. You seem to know a fair bit compared to other forums I've found.
We need to make a new aviary to house our Pale-Headed Rosella pair, and I wanted to build a second cage alongside it to house a Major Mitchell, and probably a galah.
I am considering about 1.5x1.2x2m high for the two birds, but wanted to know if anyone had any experience with these birds?
Also, if unsuitable together, what about side-by-side so they can talk but not physically interact?

Thanks for any help

Josh

Josh,

I'm not expert in cockatoos, but 1,5mx1,2m I think could be a bit small for cockatoos, even for a single one, as they are very active birds.

Cheers / Pablo
