Dear Peter
Upon reading an old thread ,i wondered if it were possible that a kakariki could have an allergic reaction /allergies ..certainly within the home enviroment but in an aviary??
I have a young fledgling that has (snotty) nasal ducts..for two days he seemed to improve and dry up, but alas, his is all bunged up again..eating ok tho..
when i come to think of it,i believe i left the sweetcorn out of selection..possible allergy?
Should and could i use inver'drops on a youngster?
kind regards
Lu
Sneezing is a symptom of chrop worms...
We obtained a parrot some yrs ago, sounds similar to what you have.
She was ok for a while then went down hill very quick.
From what I understand from our vet invermectican is not effective..
He dosed the bird direct in the drop (dont know with what..) also used inverectim and anti biotics after doing a stained microscope same to check for certain types of bacteria...So he could sort out which type of anti biotic.
He also kept the bird overnight in a heated hospital box.cage.
I do strongly sugesst head off to the vet with the above info in hand. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
