Hi there,
I have had Tiki for around 3 years now but it has slowly started to happen over the last 12 months that he is getting very aggressive, i cant put my hand in his cage anymore, change his water or food and just today when i went to give him a bath i put the water down on the floor he attacked my finger and wouldnt let go to the point that he drew blood.
I try not to pull away and I do growl at him, when he is on our shoulders he will bite our ears and at one point even attacked my face.
To change his food and water I have to actually let him out so I can do it, there is no problem getting him back in there but when you are a bit rushed in the mornings before work it can be a bit of a pain. He gets alot of time out of the cage in the evenings so gets alot of flying time to use up energy and gets alot of attention as he is in the main family room and gets spoken to all the time, he is good at talking. I'm wondering if he needs a partner would this calm him down a bit or will it just turn him more anti social. I dont want to get to the point where i will have to give him to someone that has an avery but it is getting quite serious now.
help please
Breeding season..his cage is HIS castle...and he is telling u so.
This is good, dont discourage...
The biting outside the cage, could be sort of spilling out into that enviroment, that is bad, jump on that behavour
Its just a matter of keeping the boundries..his and yours...right now he is pushing to own more than his cage. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
