these pics are not clear and I appologise for that, however we all know that kaks just cannot sit still. The pics are of the male as the hen is in the nest and I didn't want to disturb her for obvious reasons.

Looks all clear of any small red feathers in the crown, and behind the eyes feathers all clear there too.

Thank you for the verification Steps. The hen is just as "clear" as he is, only not as large of a yellow crown (assuming because it is a hen). There is a very distinct change from red to yellow on both birds, as well as another cock bird I have.

Speaking of wich .............. would anyone advise on pairing a hen (assuming the eggs hatch and a hen is produced) from this pair with the unrelated cock or trying to find another hen all together ? The "spare" cock is approx. 18 months old.

P.S. It's all your fault ............. I even had thoughts of building another bank just for Kakas ............ I only got this pair because I thought they were clowns dammit LOL
