Please can you help me ive had keeka and tovi for two years and they have paired up nicely, i have never had any problems with them up until now. The male one tovi keeps attacking the female one and chasing her everywhere Does anyone know what could be wrong with him ? Do i need to seperate them as i am afraid of what might happen to her if he keeps on attacking
They are in a large cage, they are not breeding although they used to mate a lot but not as often at the moment she has had eggs in the past but because there was no nest box to lay in she layed from the perch and they cracked. the attacks are really bad especially when they are being fed in the morning but still occur during the day and evening.
Sort out a nest box attached to the outside of the cage..
It may or may not work...
Till u do separate them, but keep them visible to each other.
Keeping pets in unnatural conditions, especially pairs, causes unnatural problems.
The more unnatural (eg cage as to avairy, as to in the wild) the more chances of such behavioral problems. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
