Male or Female

Hi,

My husband and I got 2 Kakarikis around 7 weeks ago and we've been trying to tell if they are male or female but could use some help. I've taken some pictures of them. They're a little blurry but I hope someone can help us :)

Both definitely male..
the size and shape of the beak.. male
The slightly more flattish area.. in the profile pics male

If u look under the wings there is a yellow stripe... a definite solid stripe female... a pale broken stripe male.

nice looking birds.

Take the time to use the "quick search " block on the left .. kakariki are a unique bird having evolved in a non mammal isolated islands of the Sth Pacific... things like diet taming wing clipping (dont do it) etc
