If my pair would decide they would be having baby's all the time.
So how do you all do when breeding ?
How many clutches a season and how long breaks ?
See some people take one clutch a year and some let them breed the year around how often they want .

Covered this in older post
We breed 3 pair of RC.. non stop.. good diets etc
None had any ill effects...
A egg to healthy adult produced ratio of around 80%
Going off memory..
They breed for around 3 yrs, knocking out a batch every 8 to 10 weeks.
Each pair had different sized batchs of eggs, and varied between batches...
When they got to approx 120 healthy adults, the fertility dropped dramatically...and when reached around 130.. fertility with all pair was between nil and maybe 1 out of a batch of eggs
We then mated the females to a new male and same with the males. The females didnt produce, the males carried on producing with the new females.

but thank you for answering.
I only breed 2 clutches every year on mine.
Thinking of breeding more but I then need more buyers.
Just don't want my baby's to get hurt in the process.
But they really want to breed again and I keep all 4(+1 one baby)
in a aviary now together. one of the hens are trying to make a nest
out of every thing now...
Should I let them breed?

You give them constant and good varied diet.. like I said above nps.
See a sticky tread "what do u feed...." in these forums.
The other issue is having a holding flight for the off spring... which is also used for weaning young that have left the nest 2 or 3 days latter... a practical thing because if u leave till about a week or so, the iris forms and u will find it difficult to tell young from parents....a mistake that NEEDS to be avoid as is a mission to correct.
The older single males...always keep a couple of them...swoop in within minutes of new young and feed look after them... "uncling"

We have experimented with how many one can keep in a flight 1.2 m deep x 2.4m wide x 1.2m height......we got to 24.. at this point 2 feeding stations for veggies meat etc , 2 seed trays, single water bath tray approx 500x 300x x 60mm deep.
The issue is pollution levels.. ie replacing water each day (automatic switch)
Maintaining clean floors... helped substantially by chopped veggies (see thread "what do u feed.." and reduced waste...
Pumice sand on floors....
thick branch Perches at different heights, places, and not putting seed / food/ water trays underneath them.

The 'limit' factor was having only to rake debri off floors/ clean water trays / replenish seed trays no more than once a week. and still maintain a good healthy environment
