I wasn't too sure where to put this, so apologies if it's in the wrong place.

I have a very badly behaved kakariki.

She's not friendly and won't do step up or anything useful like that - she'll learn for a while, and will do it if she really has to, but if she has any other choice she'll fly or run away or hide under the sofa.
She spends most of her time out of her cage, but does just do her own thing. She likes sitting and looking out of the window, or flying round madly, or getting in things she shouldn't.
She has chewed up several books, and has also stripped the mdf coating off one of my shelves.

But I just thought this was all part of her personality. Someone described kakarikis as being "everywhere, all of the time, at once" and that pretty much sums up her non-stop behaviour.

However, she has just bitten her sister and pushed her off the perch. And I can't have this and need a solution. She's not shown much sign of aggression towards her sister (who is a cockatiel) before, but I have always noticed that Custard (the kakariki) is in charge.

I'm hoping it's just a one off, but scared that it's just a sign Custard is very much ut of control. Does anyone have any suggestions?
