I used to have a suphur crested cockatoo..he went to the pub, motor shows, the beach the park, motor racing events, even resterants with me
He never had his wings cliped....
Basically like a dog on a leash in a public place ....except the dog is in 2 dementions horozonal movement at ground level.....a bird 3 dimentsions, horozonal AND vertical.
This keeps the bird safe from harm, sudden noise and getting lost in unfamilar places, plus the abilty to get good excersise, flight.
Or we could clip wings frustrate the bird 24/7, or just leave it in the cage bored out of its little head. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
hopefully May you are still around to answer my question...
What size Aviator harness did you buy?
I have already looked at them as i want to harness train my chicks but wasnt sure what size to buy.
I used to use one on my Meyers Parrot, brilliant harness, gave them a shock in the pharmacist when I popped in with him sat on my shoulder (caused great interest and the next time i went in Pharmacist told me he had been inspired and bought an African Grey as he used to have one as a child!)

Awesome. I see that someone else was thinking the same thing to put on the harness by holding them. If my Kakariki goes near the harness and likes biting on it do you think he is ready for me to put it on. He isn't scared of it but he doesn't really like it if i have it.
