What size leg bands should i use for my Kakariki.

just had a quick search on the net, and on Peter Limburg's site it says to use a 5.4mm ring.
if this is wrong hopefully someone will say duno

ok just found another couple of web sites
one say's use a size 9. another says to use a size M (4.34mm) ring then on the next line it says use a size N (5.33mm) ring d'oh!
then on another site it says use a Size M.

5,4 mm is the accepted size for reds in Europe. 4,5 mm is the size for yellow crowns.

Where can I purchase leg band/rings for my Kakarikis. The kind that I can have the date of birth engraved on.

You can try a bird club or breeders association. Aviornis sells bands too but only to subscribers (20€/yr)
There's a Portuguese company http://www.anilhas.com/site/index.php?lang=eng that also sells them, but shipping may be expensive. You may be able to find similar ones in certain dedicated pet shops.
