Have not actually mixed Quaker and kakariki.
The main diofference between the nature of Quaker and birds like red rumps love birds is they are not territorial, espec when ready to go to nest. More of the nature of the burke/ turq, except very noisey.
Kakariki mix well with many species but do not attempt to have them go to nest in the same flight as ANY other birds including other kakariki.
The kakariki will become very intimidating to other birds including those much bigger like kings and crimsons.

From what I know about quaker... they mix well in community flights as do kakariki. So on that basis I would say yes.

Community flights don't generally mix with most of the more 'exotic' type parrots... Quaker I dont know, but going on there natural community type nesting, would imagine they would be ok with familiar birds around them.
Moving kakariki nesting boxes with pairs that have already laid 3 plus batches is not a problem.
We where moving house and aviaries some 100 miles away...
Trapped the pairs in the nest boxes with eggs , chicks etc...
removed boxes, dismantled the aviaries, loaded onto trailers, travelled 100 odd miles, reassembled some of the flights (those that had pairs nesting), hung the nesting boxes, un blocked the nesting box holes, and got out quick.
They carried on as if nothing had happened.

I would not be surprised if the quakers did similar.

Adding a kakariki to a nesting pair of quakers...given all their natures, I Would do it just after roosting time in the evening, or earlier hrs of the morning...The kakariki will find a spot to settle for the night.. in the morning be around to see how they all respond to each other...expect a little squabble, but if persistent or too aggressive step in.

The reason why I say late evening early morning.... If one adds a hen to say a 'house of 3 or 4 they will kill the newbie, but if added to a lower roosting bar after they have all gone to bed they wake up quite happy nps and accept the new bird into the flock
