Hi all,I had a female kakariki until Tuesday 16th Feb,a Cinnamon one,she was around 6yrs old,she escaped from our kitchen/lounge room. Now I only have her mate of the same age but he's a green with a red crown. He is in a real state,he use to feed her and they had very regular sex but no babies or eggs ever. The male adored her,and is now fretting and calling for her very loudly. Just feel so hopeless for him,he's a really cool bird, got so much character. I can only think of 2 options to our situation,1 is to get another female(same as him)and hope the company helps, the other is to give him to a person with an Avery so he can experience out doors life with other kaks. Since he has spent 5yrs in our house, with big windows and views of outside, and air-con mind you, plus being center of attention and I'd make a salad mix etc each night for the morning for them, always big bowl of water for bathing,so glad the guy I got them from told me just how much they like to bath. Anyway going of the subject, could someone give me an idea on the best thing to do for a very upset kak please motherchook
