Thanks for the support, I wasn't quite sure what reaction I was going to receive. Naturally I blame myself but am resigned to the fact wasn't too much that could've been done.
That's nature I guess, it's just a crying shame that such a beautiful bird had to suffer in such a way.

Sry to hear that.. out posts yesterday had crossed.. time...
You gave it your best, and I have also commented before in older posts, if the egg starts to harden, the chances of the bird surviving get very slim... As action really needs to be taken , usually before or around the time any symptoms become noticeable .....note the "noticeable", not noticed.. and we cant spens 24/7 of our lives watching.
