hope its all going ok...! i dont have my birds in a flight they are in large parrot cages but just a quick note on what i do....

when i put the nest boxs on i start feeding a moist egg food (bought dry and mixed up with a little warm water) once a day along with the normal supply of mixed seed n fresh food ... i make sure they have cuttlefish and a mineral block. i use a deep cockatile nest box on the outside of the cage with the hole lined up with an open feed door but cut the hole bigger so they can get in n out (my birds are quite big) i dont have room for 2 of these on the cage.... but i use a budgie box inside the cage with the end taken off and when the mum starts to lay again i move the chicks to the other box... dad then takes over the feeding and mum starts again... this hasnt caused any probs yet, but they are used to me handling the babies and seem to trust me.

i guess that method is ok also, if you breed indoors you can place the chicks in a wooden box as you do

about moistening eggfood.... no need to do that, just mix it with the diced veggies or sprouts, or leave it dry and the birds will eat and drink as needed, just my humble opinion
