I have my Kaks in a suspeneded 1800 L 1200 H 900 W
I have 2 pieces of 2x1 pine running the length to support the nest boxes.
Along side is an 1800 L piece of dowel stick. From the back a natural wood perch and 2 lower perches in the front. Lower to prevent any frights causing harm. For stimulation i have rope circles and plastic chain.
I have had them for 7or 8 weeks and, observation tells me they are happy in their enviroment.
I would not want to place them in smaller cofines but, am curious about others view points <v>

If you run a forum seack (quick search " box on the left...there is a lot of info on the subject...

Im not a fan of suspended Avairies for kakariki...They spend a lot of time on the dround, digging in dirt.
When we where in Aussie couple yrs back maet up with a kakariki breeder who had suspended flights
They where nice healthy birds, but they stood, legs feet worked funny, even on flat surface...
He had flights like yours, not enough room for them to flight a length, flick up behind a perch, turn over and fly back
Personally..I believe 1200W x 2m long and 1800 H is the min.
We have experimented with how many in such a flight.....18 to 24, but its like tropical fish, much more cleaning , water old food etc,,,number easy to keep..upto 14 easy
Clean floors once a week, water everyday, seed tray big enough for 14 days when 1/3 full. Change and sort unused seed every 7 to 10 days

We breed 1 pair per flight approx 1800x2mx 2m H ....good size when the chicks leave the nest...anything from 5 to 8 chicks, plus parents

Back to suspened flights...We discussed this a few yrs back I think.
I recion there is a bloody sight more work and maintance with them than I have.
We have 3 avairies
2 have 13 flights....
1 9 flights, 3 saftey doors and the other flights doors between them.....I also have potable divider with doors in them...If I need I can devide a double flight in 5mins. These one looks length ways into

2nd 4 flights, end to end so the birds are right next to one...again 1 satey door at one end with internal doors , and I also have portable dividers.

Isolation/.Hospital 3 these are cages 700 mm H x 1200W x 1m deep.

Then there is the new holding avary 2m W x 5M long 2m H

Water is automatic each day.
Tomes are from finishing a coffee to sitting down with the next Wink
Change seed, wash out water trays, sort out husks, about4 to 6 L 35mins 7 to 10 days
(refilling water trays is just turn on the auto filler on the tap._
Quick scrape of perches, ledges and stuff, rake out old huskes, food, Despose of, replace pumice sand. 40 mins about 12 to 18 days. About 20 to 30 L of crap.
