Keep and feeding, but have a few seed ad soft veggies to nibble at.
Weaning doest finish untill about 2 weeks after they have left the nest...about the time the iris in the eye forms
Even the parents and any un attached cocks will still feed them.
This can be confused with them trying to mate with young birds to early.

Cheers for the advice Steptoe, have a selection of other aviary birds but these Kaks definatley are a totally different make up signlol. I'll keep on with what I'm doing. The iris info is the first I've heard that so thanks again.

Make use of the "Quick seach" block on the left, u will find many discussions on the iris by many top kakariki breeders around the world here.
The iris is not something unique to kakariki either.
