As some of you may know, it was Easter last week. My boyfriend and I have been working our way through Easter eggs. However there's a small problem.
Our kaka, Dante, has developed a fondness for the silver paper that the eggs come in. When my boyfriend was cleaning out his cage he found a lot of foil at the bottom. Obviously Dante had been smuggling some into his cage without us noticing! We're concerned because this foil has been used to wrap chocolate in. And chocolate is not a good thing to introduce into most diets.....
So, has anyone had any experience of letting their kakas play with silver foil? We have tried paper and he doesn't seem interested in that. Also Dante has been stealing beer top bottles as well. My boyfriend though it was OK to let him play with them but I'm not too sure.
chocolate is over rated as a danger, our parrots have got into it, chocolate self saucing pudding, and drinks many times....get hyppo for a few hrs, thats about it
But would not be a good practice on a regular basis.
Tin fiol , in partulare the thin stuff around easter eggs is not digestable...
That could be a big worry
Beer bottle caps, they make good toys, the like licking the cork on the inside. _________________ My Spelling is Not Incorrect...It's 'Creative'
